"おつかれSUMMER" (Otsukare Summer) is a song by the Japanese duo HALCALI from their 2003 album *Halcali Bacon*. It was never a single, but more than twenty years later it took off on social media in the UK and the US from spring 2025, and Billboard JAPAN reported in March 2026 that its TikTok views had passed 6 billion. The song became a dance in waves. In September 2025 @lukachuu posted a silly dance to it in her room, captioned "last video in this room", which passed 4.7 million views. In 2026 a second wave came from Korea, where fans of NCT WISH turned the chorus into the "kkungsit" challenge (@chu.u_, June 12, 2026, 1.2 million views). #otsukaresummer has passed 236 million views. The clip on this page is the @lukachuu video. On AI Dance, the template copies her moves onto your own photo: your face, clothes and background stay, and your body follows the dance beat by beat. ### The moves A playful freestyle: a big kick to the side with the arms flung up, a wide stance with flapping hands, a leg swing behind, a quick spin, hands on the head, then little hops in place with the arms waving over the head. ## How to make the Otsukare Summer video 1. **Add your photo.** Upload one clear photo of you or a friend, facing the camera, as much of the body in the frame as you can. 2. **Tap Make my video.** The Otsukare Summer dance costs 1 credit. The AI copies the moves onto your photo while you wait, about a few minutes. 3. **Download and post.** You get a 11 second 9:16 MP4. The AI animates the biggest person in the frame. Avoid: - Group photos, or a second person cut off at the edge - Faces turned away, covered or in deep shadow - Blurry or very dark photos - Heavy filters, stickers or text on the photo ## Post it on TikTok, Reels or Shorts - Your video comes without music. Add "Otsukare Summer" by HALCALI in TikTok or Reels and start on the chorus. - Keep the caption silly: the trend is about not caring how you look. - Try it on a photo of a friend who never dances, with their okay. - Name the dance in your caption, so people searching for it find your video.
