The sound is a remix by DJ Izzy Duzzit that puts Nat King Cole's "Deck the Hall" over the beat of Too $hort's "Blow the Whistle". He posted it on TikTok on December 4, 2025 as "original sound - djizzyduzzit", and it already carried a few Christmas Eve dances last year, like @sassyswensons' trio with 1.4 million views on December 25, 2025. This year it became THE Christmas dance. On October 22, 2026 @justbeinghan1 joked that every Christmas dance has "all the same 3 moves" (4.4 million views). On November 1 the family take by @thewilliamsfamily168 passed 5.1 million, and on November 2 @ayiahsoufi_ posted the deadpan duo "should we make a dance??" that reached 4.9 million. The most viewed take so far is @calysta.belle's with her mom from November 3, at 11.8 million views, and Brooke Monk joined on November 7 (5.9 million). Most posts are duos and family groups in matching Christmas pajamas, which is why people now search for a Christmas dance AI that does it from a single photo. The clip on this page is @phatboylandy's solo take from November 6, 2026 (1 million views), filmed at night in a parking lot in a hi-vis vest: one dancer, full body, no text on screen. Nat King Cole's "Deck the Hall" is not marked explicit in the music stores, and neither is the soundtrack release of "Blow the Whistle". On AI Dance, the template copies his moves onto your own photo: your face, clothes and background stay, and your body follows the routine beat by beat. ### The moves He starts with a bouncy step in place and his hands loose at his sides, then pumps one fist and the other up by his shoulders on the beat. He swings half sideways with a small kick, turns back to the camera and stomps out a few side steps. The big moment is both fists up over his head, shaken to the beat with a grin, before he steps toward the camera to finish. ## How to make the Christmas Dance video 1. **Add your photo.** Upload one clear photo of you or a friend, facing the camera, as much of the body in the frame as you can. 2. **Tap Make my video.** The Christmas Dance dance costs 1 credit. The AI copies the moves onto your photo while you wait, about a few minutes. 3. **Download and post.** You get a 9 second 9:16 MP4. It comes with the dance's music. Post it on TikTok, Reels or Shorts, and swap the sound inside the app if you like. ## Best photo for Christmas Dance - Use a full-body photo, head to shoes: the kicks and side steps need the legs in frame. - Christmas pajamas, an ugly sweater or a Santa hat match the trend best. - Stand straight and relaxed with your arms a little away from your body. - A tree, a fireplace or a plain wall keeps the focus on the moves. - One person per photo. The AI animates the biggest person in the frame. Avoid: - Group photos, or a second person cut off at the edge - Faces turned away, covered or in deep shadow - Blurry or very dark photos - Heavy filters, stickers or text on the photo ## Post it on TikTok, Reels or Shorts - Your video comes with the dance's music. To join the trend, add the "original sound - djizzyduzzit" Deck the Halls remix from TikTok's sound library and turn the original sound down. - Make one of each person in the family, then post them side by side for the matching-pajamas look of the trend. - Use the tags people search for: #christmasdance, #deckthehalls, #christmas and #dancetrend. - Try it on a photo of your mom, dad or grandparent: family takes are the most viewed versions this year. Caption idea: the christmas dances are back 🎄 Hashtags: #christmasdance #deckthehalls #christmas #dancetrend #aidance ## Christmas Dance trend timeline - 2025-12-04: DJ Izzy Duzzit posts his "Deck the Halls" remix (Nat King Cole over Too $hort's "Blow the Whistle").
